Uranium Enrichment Calculator
This application calculates values for the separative work, flow rates, and U-235 concentrations in a uranium enrichment process (such as a gas centrifuge). The process takes in Uranium Hexafluoride gas (UF6), which contains U-235 and U-238 isotopes, and produces a product stream with a higher ratio of U-235. U-235 is the desired product for its applications in nuclear reactors or weapons. For each of the three streams; the flow rate (kg/hr) represents the mass of UF6 entering the centrifuge, and the U-235 concentration (%) represents the mass fraction of that stream that is U-235.
